    That Council proclaim the month of June, 2021, as “National Indigenous History Month” in the City of Cornwall.

    That Council proclaim Sunday, June 6, 2021, as “Shriners International Awareness Day” in the City of Cornwall and approve its flag to be flown at 340 Pitt Street.

    That Council proclaim the month of June, 2021, as “Seniors’ Month” in the City of Cornwall.

    That Council proclaim the month of June, 2021, as “Pride Month” in the City of Cornwall and to approve the Pride Flag to be flown at 340 Pitt Street.

    That Council receive Report 2021-43-Financial Services as required by the Municipal Act, 2001, Ontario Regulation 284/09.

    That Council approve a site-specific program within the City’s Community Improvement Plan that would support housing projects as outlined in this report and prepare a by-law to be presented to Council at the next regular meeting.

  • Action Recommended
    1. That Council receive Report 2021-84-Planning, Development and Recreation.
    2. Should Council wish to advance the proposal of developing a campground in Guindon Park to the next step, provide direction to Administration to include a capital project in the 2022 Municipal Budget submission to commission a feasibility study, complete with preliminary designs, a Class C construction estimate, public consultation, market analysis, and economic development impact assessment.
  • Action Recommended
    1. That Council approve a site-specific Tax Increment Grant (TIG) for 20 years at 90% for the residential development of 44 rental units at 1 Second Street East, Cornwall, Ontario, proposed by Mr. Godard; and
    2. That a By-law be prepared and presented to Council at its Regular Meeting of Council of June 14, 2021.

Communications et rapports

  • Action Recommended

    That Council:

    1. Receive the presentation provided by J.L. Richards and Associates Limited (JLR),
    2. Approve, in principle, the architectural design of the new Fire Station,
    3. Authorize Administration to continue into the design phase of the project developing the final draft designs for the new Fire Station.
    4. Authorize Administration, in conjunction with JLR, to prepare and issue an RFP for the construction of the new Fire Station.
